Aki ember fia csak a vasat ismeri, annak számára nincs varázslatosabb dolog az acélnál. Griswold, a kovács sokkal inkább varázsló is, mint azt õ gondolná. Képessége a tûz és a fém elegyítésére egydülálló e földön.

Griswold - a határtalan bátorság és cselekvés embere. Lemerem fogadni, soha nem mesélt neked arról, hogy lement a labirintusba, hogy megmentse Wirt életét, igaz-e? Tudja jól miféle részt vállal az odalent található veszélyekbõl aki oda letéved,  így ezt te is tudod. Õ egy nagy tudású mesterember, és ha õ azt állítja, hogy tud segíteni valamiben, akkor bátran számolhatsz a képességével és becsületével.

Griswold? A jó öreg Griswold. Úgy szeretem, mint testvéremet! Együtt harcoltunk, tudod, még amikor... amikor... Lazarus... Lazarus... Lazarus!!!

Tristram lakói mind nagyon büszkék kovácsunkra. Szakmája igazi mestere, sok-sok díjat nyert már céhes versenyeken, de még Leoric király dícséretzét is kivívta - nyugodjék lelke békében szegénynek. Griswold hõs is; kérdezd csak meg Cain-t!

Griswold, a kovács elképzelhetetlen sokat tud a fegyverekrôl és páncélokról. Ha valaha is szükséged lesz a felszerelésed javítására,  feltétlenül õt keresd.

Griswold annyit tud a hadakozásról, mint én a gyógyításról. Nem jó kereskedõ, de a keze munkájának nincs párja. No persze ez lehet, hogy csak azért van, mert õ az egyetlen kovács, aki itt maradt.

Asszem a kovácsnak köszönhetem az életemet - már ami megmaradt belõle. Ja, Griswold ajánlott nekem megélhetést a kovácsmûhelyben, meg rendes fickó is, csak hát ott nem tudnék elég pénzt keresni, hogy... Nos, mondjuk úgy, hogy határozott terveim vannak, amelyhez jelentõsebb mennyiségû aranyra van szükségem.
